SINO IRON ORE PROJECT

MCC Mining awarded Murphy Pipe and Civil the Sino Iron Ore Pipelines Project to construct the $100m concentrate, concentrate return water and desalination water pipelines.

MCC Mining is an Australian subsidiary of the China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC).

The ninety kilometres of pipeline runs as three separate 30km pipes in a common trench, linking the concentrator to the dewatering facility at Cape Preston.

Orion Pipeline Services is to supply the equipment and personnel to Murphy Pipe and Civil.

Location: 80km South West Karratha, Western Australia

Client: Murphy Pipe and Civil

Scope of Services: Supply equipment and personnel

Contract Duration: 5 months (Commencing March 2011)

Achievements: Successful completion of project with no safety or IR lost time incidents.
